Back on the wet side, things are good. The kegerator flows strong and the river is dropping fast. Not too sure if the season will even make far into August. So the team has devised a plan to deliver ourselves to the thirst of the Salmon River mid August for a good three day float full of fun in a river that has water.
Also on the list is pillaging the Gardner stretch of the Yellowstone and showing those yahoos how fun is actually had. Surfing and flipping, wheelies and flipping, and some more surfing and flipping. As much carnage as allowable in 45 minutes.
You may not see me but I see you! Surfing the drop and rehydrating at the same time.
Other news: The jobby jobs for the fall are starting to settle into my mind and Iwas thinking of starting my own business. And Im hiring. So if you will work for 5 bucks an hour and like barley shakes, find me. Thats half the test.
The Bobber is going to guide the Futalafu down in Chile, Iwant to go but I dont want to die just yet, so maybe not. And Im still waiting on the position down in Ghana, though things have changed, like the minister of Environment, so a 3 year position there might not be what it was a couple months ago. Im thinking about convincing the FWP people to put me in a management GIS position down here in region 5. GS-9 is a decent paycheck and I get to float the river on the clock. Maybe the USGS want a happy employee for a change? Maybe Canadia? You know, those people and thier geese, ay!
I was in the store looking at gear and a thought occurred. I could open my own store, hence all the gear I have and seldom use any more. Goretex everywhere. I couldnt even think of buying anything because I already have it.... in New Mexico. And I should have a motorcycle for sale soon too. Your choice: 1980 Kawasaki 550 classic sprinter that blows flames from the pipe or a 1988 Suzuki GSX 600 Katana in the amazing color scheme of black and purple. People in the 80's where idiots, but fast idiots. So as the gas prices increase you have two options: 45 mpg or 80 mpg respectively. The lesser of the mpgs has the cool flame thrower bonus, definately worth it!
In a van down by the river...

Thanks for the update...awesome!
love, pam
So whats this barley position for 5 bucks/hr? Do you offer benefits such as a free bike after one year of service? Cause ya know New Belgium Brewing Co. does. Either way I'm always interested in supporting the frosty malted hops industry.
See the difference is that I give away motorcycles after a major stock increase. Now thats awesome!!
I call dibs on the purple one!
I will trade straight up the purple nurple for the XR
