Customizing....

So there I was on the brink of winter in a new place with a totally different climate. Inversions. Fog, massive fog. Fucked up headlights. Snow was coming. I decided to drag this iron hog in the house myself. Dumb idea I know, but it wasn't casually walking itself in with a gin and tonic and British accent.... Then I realize after two visits to the hardware store that key structural components to the chimney box aren't there. Those pieces DID actually decide to grab a G&T and casually get the hell out of town.

 Mom loves this stuff....

With a new-to-me hand-me-down from Garrett (chopsaw) I decided I needed a proper dining apparatus to fill the kitchen void. So  I made it.

I think stain is dumb. Although I buy it every time....

Benches nearly done. This as also the point at which night fell, I ran out of pseudoephedrine,  found a beer, and grabbed the lantern.

Finished. But not done off-gassing. I had to take it back outside for fear of noxious fumes offing me and Zambi in the night....

The lonely kitchen without anything but dog hair and paw prints...
